The audition round for 12th Miss Newa 1137 was held at Hotel Yellow Pagoda on December 25.
Training is scheduled to begin from January 1. This time, there are altogether 35 participants, eyeing the crown.
Contestants will go through 35-day training in which they will be taught about Newari culture and tradition and other activities such as etiquette classes, photo-shoot and picnic, among others.
Contestants will attend classes under different topics such as spirituality, stress management, importance of listening, photography, styling, beauty and many more. As the theme of the contest is festival this year, contestants will be getting more information on festival and reason behind celebrating them.
Sub-events like talent show and fashion show will be held before the main event. The winners of different rounds and the Miss Newa title will be announced on February 6 at Nepal Academy Hall.
This event has been organized by Nepalese Fashion Home since 2005.
